Seldia and its members support harmonised EU consumer policy.
To boost consumer confidence and encourage businesses to sell cross-border, rules need to be clear, evidence based, take into account both consumer expectations and business practicalities, and must be consistenly and rigorously enforced by all member States across the European Union.
Seldia is an active and engaged stakeholder and has been consistently contributing to the EU policy making:
- Since 2021, Seldia serves as a member of the Consumer Policy Advisory Group. The Group assists the European Commission in the preparation of Consumer policy initiatives

- Between 2014 and 2016, Seldia was an active supporter of the European Commission Consumer Rights Awareness Campaign
